Kirkpatrick Partners is committed to ensuring Kirkpatrick certified professionals have the highest level skills to support the organization and their mission.
As such, we have moved away from only having a Bronze, Silver, and Gold certification, and building additional certifications to give you the skills needed to maximize your impact.
The journey below is not meant to be linear – rather it puts you in the driver seat to gain the certifications you need to stand out in the career you want. Pre-requisites for each certification are listed below.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Certification?
Certification from Kirkpatrick gives you the credibility and backing knowing that you were certified in your ability to apply the model correctly. It shows your employer and/or client that you take your work seriously and are an expert in the area of evaluation.
Professionals who have been certified in the Kirkpatrick programs share that the program has helped them gain access to jobs and roles they otherwise would not have access to, increase their pay, and differentiate them amongst other consultants and job seekers.
I already know the Kirkpatrick Model, do I need to take Bronze?
Do I need to take both programs?
In order to participate in the Silver program, you must complete Bronze or test out of Bronze. Verificiation will be done for all participants in Silver to ensure they meet this requirement. This allows the facilitators to ensure the cohort is on the same page, and you can get the most out of the program without having to re-teach the Bronze program.
How long is the certification good for?
The integrity of our certification program is crucial to its success. Therefore, it is important that we ensure all certified professionals are keeping up-to-date with the changes in learning, evaluation, performance, etc.
As of January 1, 2025, all Kirkpatrick Certified Professionals will have their credentials good for 3 years. After 3 years, you will be required to show proof of one continuing education course, and complete a report of the work you are doing in evaluation. This allows us to monitor your progress, and ensure you are maintaining your expertise in the Kirkpatrick Model.
For those that were certified before 2025, your credential will expire December 31, 2028. If you are interested in recertification, please see the Recertification page to learn more.
Please note, that the Kirkpatrick Strategic Evaluation Planning certification will NOT expire as the program was merged with Silver in 2024.
Do I really need to Re-Certify?
You don’t. You will always be a Kirkpatrick Certified Alumni, however, when asked for verification of your credentials, the expiration will show.
Additionally, Kirkpatrick Partners works with many organizations who are looking for team members with our certifications, and we only put forth potential candidates who have maintained their certification.
Is there a bundle price?
Yes, if you are interested in both Bronze and Silver, save by registering for the Bundle price of $3,690 USD.
You can register for your Bronze program, and we will then work with you to slot you into the next Silver program that would work best after completion of the Bronze program.
My workplace is unique, and I do not have access to Evaluate at Level 4.
We definitely understand each workplace, and work structure is unique. However, the reason that the Kirkpatrick Model is so widely used in government and military, is because we are able to help organizations achieve Level 4 even though they “may not have direct ties or access” to the population they are serving. In the program we look at case studies and organizations with many different structures to showcase how you are able to achieve each of the levels.
That is the beauty of the Kirkpatrick Model, it is not all about ROI, it is about results, and flexibility through its elegant simplicity.
Is the Certification Accredited? Can I Use it For Tuition Reimbursement?
Our certification programs are currently undergoing formal accredidation. However, we are authorized to provide re-certification credits for ATD and SHRM.
If you are seeking tuition reimbursement, you can utilize the ATD and SHRM validation for that tuition reimbursement.
How will my certification be recognized?
Once you’ve aced the final assignment and completed the final program survey, you’ll receive a digital certificate and badge you can use proudly in your email signature, social media channels, and anywhere else online.
Can I take Silver right after Bronze?
Absolutely! If you have a solid background in training evaluation, feel free to dive right into the Silver Program when you finish Bronze. Just keep in mind that in the Silver Program, there is some overlap with the Bronze program activities.
Does attending these programs certify me to teach the Kirkpatrick methodology?
Not quite. These programs certify you to use the licensed Kirkpatrick templates and materials within your own organization. If you’re part of a larger organization of 100 or more people, we offer a train-the-trainer program tailored to your unique needs.
What if I register and need to reschedule or cancel?
Don’t worry. We understand that life sometimes throws you curve balls. Plans can change at a moment’s notice, and emergencies often pop up out of nowhere. Just be sure to review our cancellation policy to explore your options, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions. We’re here to help!
Can I get certified without providing my contact information?
Unfortunately, no. To ensure the worldwide recognition of Kirkpatrick certification, we’ll need your
contact information for verification. If you have extenuating circumstances, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Will this certification help me get a job?
Kirkpatrick Certification gives you a competitive edge over other candidates. It shows you can measure the work that you are doing, and tie it back to the business.
Can we promise you will get a job because of it? No. We make no job placement guarantees. However, there are jobs that specifically request a Kirkpatrick Bronze certification at minimum.
